IT jobs in Canada for Indian

Hi,

I am planning to apply for Canadian PR next year. I am an Indian living in India currently. I am currently working as IT professional and have 5 years of work exp. I would like to hear from experienced guys in this forum about the job opportunities in Canada for IT professionals. I want to know how is the job market in Canada for IT software engineers if I am applying from India and what challenges I would be facing there.

in Short,
as always there are two sides of the coin

1. people who moved there in Canada with IT experience got jobs matching their profile within a month of landing there.
2. people who moved to canada took almost a year or more to find a deserving job. till then they worked on labor based jobs. some even came back to india.


and there are inbetweens. now its upto you and your luck which side of the coin you want to belong and if you are willing to take the risk of applying for PR and going to Canada.

Comparing with US, IT jobs are less in Canada.
