Guys here is the thing: Most of the employers will NOT apply for LMIA because is doesnt make sense for the employers to prove to Government that out of all the canadians/PR holders etc one foreign national is the best fit for that particular opening in their company. So just because of this specific clause in the LMIA application most of the employers will reject if some how by luck they did the the position in IT must be super critical vs low skilled jobs like restaurant managers, cleaners, truck drivers etc will get LMIA for sure because that is what is happening here in Alberta

if not thne try to join some short term course or certification or something. as dec month is near where you will notice freezing condition not just in weather but also in job market....
technical support specialist and help desk support are in demand..... also you can try to enhance your skill by doing some short term course for BA or QA..... good luck karunya.....

I can share my experience.
Myself and my wife are IT Professionals (NOC: 2173/2174, Me with 9 years exp, and she with 6 years exp) and my wife came here on OWP along with me.
But she didn't have any issues with finding a job. She was a Java/J2EE developer, and we were not too much concerned with the salary. All we wanted was a job for her for Canadian experience.
Within one month time she got 3 job offers and we picked one which was near to downtown.
What we learned from our experience is,
1. If you have experience in US or Canada, you can wait for better job offers
2. If you have worked for US/Canada client (working offshore), and if you could get a reference from the client it is highly useful.
3. If you don't have any of these, don't be too much concerned with the salary (anyways for 6+ years exp. you can expect 65k minimum). And go for outsourcing giants like accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Wipro or deloitte. They will not be worried about your North American experience as they have fixed clients. And another thing is nowadays lot of work permit applications are getting rejected, so outsourcing companies are in need of resources. For them, even if they bring someone from offshore on LMIA, they will need to give them at least 70k minimum and their travel allowances.

I did computer systems technician PG Diploma in Canada, honestly when I went for interviews no one cared about Engineering as I am a graduate in Computer science & Engineering too. For infrastructure job position which I attend interviews they asked me for A+ and ITIL I attended 4 out of which all of them asked A+. And again foe 2147 if you want your title to be Engineer mostly in regulated professions employers will ask P.Eng
Happy to hear about your exp...the most positive thing for us is the rejection that is happening in work permits ...one of my friend has also informed me he has just got an offer from an outsourcer ( I think he was saying Polaris)and will be working for BMO as it BA... 1. Keep an eye on www . hackerx.org They used to conduct developers meet with potential employers frequently ( I can see that there is planned one on Oct 27th, in Toronto and Vancouver). Try to register for their event. The advantage is there is no agencies/consultancies involved and you will get chance to directly meet the employers. Go there with your up to date resume (keep atleast 10 hard copies). There will be lot of companies and you need to prepare a list before in hand on which all companies you want to meet. They will list all the companies name in their event site, go to those company's website, go to current opportunities and see which companies technical aspects suits your skillsets. If you don't prepare this list, you will be running out of time as you will be getting only an hour to meet everyone. Collect their business cards, give your resume, send follow up mails on the next working day.
2. Keep an up-to-date linkedin profile. Profile get as much endorsements and recommendations possible (here some people don't even look at your resume, they just go to linkedin)
3. Keep an eye on indeed.ca every day.
4. Search in craiglists jobs.

2. Jun 2012-Oct 2014 worked as an admin. assistant (coordination analyst).
At present I am not working. I also have a coupllle of months of experience in a typical call center environment as a technical support agent..
What are my chances of getting a job?
Also I was planning to put my NOC for admin assistant as primary. Will that help ke in getting invite from provinces or shooild I switch to US healthcare work exp as primary NOC.
Pls advice.
