I am just bumping this up because after reading through a few topics, I am seeing that some people are in a horrible rut. I hear you. I get you. I'm sorry. :(

Applying for residency was probably one of the most stressful and difficult things that I've ever done. My husband and I joke that we can do anything because we went through this process. :p

Like I said above -- it seems impossible and you can't even imagine what it would be like to not have the weight of the CIC's decision in your life, but once it's done you'll wonder why you were so stressed in the process. It might take another month or two, or another year, but it will end one day. You will get from point A to point B and it will be totally worth it! Have faith and good luck! :D

I'm so happy to hear things are well for your family and that you have stayed so positive. I'm sure most of us didn't have a clue what immigrants go through prior to finding love with someone who isn't Canadian, but now that we're in the process, we are getting that experience first hand. I wonder sometimes how things will be for my husband and I (I'm the sponsor) and particularly for him....so your encouraging words are warmly felt and I know that with positive attitude and a strong relationship, anything is possible :) That having been said, some people have more challenges than others and when I return to Canada, I plan to get involved with helping other immigrants / refugees settle and adjust to their lives in Canada. Not quite sure how this looks yet...but we'll see.

Thank you for posting :)
