Dear Moderator,

Recently I saw a topic under Provincial Nomination section which was in native language. I personally disagree to post any topic which is not in English. Following is the topic which I’m referring here.

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/gujarati-people-applying-for-quebec-immig-join-here-t99127.0.html

I think this forum should have a rule to post only in English. It’s very important for everyone to collaborate in only one language which I strongly believe is “English”. Moreover, for screening and security purposes, moderator needs to review postings as and when required (which is impossible if the language is not English).

My request to moderator and all members, please express your views... you think I'm wrong here?
Appreciate your feedback

Personally I don't care, but I don't read them, and the posters are limiting their replies to persons that speak that language, so who knows what kind of advice they are getting.

So what happens if they don't know English and haven't been able to take ESL classes? Does that mean they cannot ask for help at all? Doesn't seem fair does it?

Re: It's acceptable to have topic in other language? What's your thought?

the people who used regional language in public forum are not always the one who doesnt know english. they try to secure their data or comment.

Maybe so, but y'all are lumping every person who comes here looking for help who cannot speak English into one discriminating category. Hardly seems fair in my opinion.

thats true. However, What I said its not always.. and also I feel a peron who has no basic knowledge of english have high chances not to get place at Canada.

I agree with PMM that it doesn't matter, except you cannot allow only one official language.

It cannot be English only. It should be English and French only if it is going to be limited at all.

Re: It's acceptable to have topic in other language? What's your thought?

I would say that its not that bad that a person is visiting forum and need to use reginal language only based on his/her lack of english language knowledge. I have seen most who use it for privercy policy.

I think if the moderators don't mind enough to have a rule about language (which I agree should not exclude French if there was one), it's not our place to tell other people how to post.
