Issues with PCC and Marital Status

Hi Guys!!

I am currently residing at Bengaluru and have got married 2 months ago. Now I have got admission to a Canadian university for September intake and am planning to apply for PCC asap so that I can apply for a study visa. My marriage certificate is still getting processed and I fear that if I wait for it before applying for PCC it would significantly delay my visa timeline. So my questions are:-
1. Would it be fine to show my marital status as single for now? Does the PCC display marital status?
2. All my government Id proofs(driving licence, passport etc) show my permanent address of Goa and I dont have any government proof for Bengaluru other than a rental agreement? So should I get a PCC only from Goa or Bengaluru as well?

I am asking these questions from future perspective as well as in they shouldn't create problems in future if I'd like to immigrate. My spouse would apply for a fresh passport from Goa after we get the certificate which would show me as her spouse. With these she would be trying for an open permit in Canada. Experts pls advice.. ;D

If u are showing ur current residence in beng then u wil have to provide pcc frm there aswel (assuming u hv lived there for more than six months). If none of ur documents r linking u to beng and u can just put ur address of goa then u wont need the pcc for beng. But i dont think u shd lie abt anything in ur app. If its not difficult for u to get pcc frm beng then get it and b done wd it. No issues.
If u dont show ur marriage then it wil create problem for u later on. For example if u apply for pgwp after studies and then show ur marriage then the date of the marriage wil reveal tht u lied in ur study app. I dnt know wat consequences u wil face then. Maybe somebody else can tel u tht but i can tel u tht it wil definately raise flags.

I can show my status as married in my visa application cause I will surely get the certificate by then. But is the marital status displayed in the PCC? Why I am asking is that after obtaining the certificate, they can harass by saying you need to update your passport first (which is simply re-issuing). This would simply take too much time, I fear.. Pls. advice.

Yes, PCC does show if ur married. It does in my country i can not b sure abt tht. But i think its obvious tht PCC wil show ur marital status.
I dnt think the embassy will make a fuss about ur passport not being converted if u show proper proofs of ur wedding n marriage. U can write a few lines about this issue stating tht u havent yet converted the passport becasue of the time issue

You do not need PCC for any Indian study permit application. It's not listed anywhere.
