Hi guys,

Please share if you had or having issues from Canada Post in processing your packages coming or going to CPP-Ottawa.

In my case my tracker got activated on December 16 at 7pm and I have never got that yet because Canada Post made processing error twice and when I called them then they said there is no time guarantee left on the package and I just have to be patient and wait!!

Any suggestions are welcome!!

Thanks and hope none of you go through the processing of Canada Post!!

Good luck!

HI,

As per my friends advice i didn't use canada post as they drop it in PO box and no proof of delivery, where as if you use the UPS, they have a confirmed delivery and signature.

Hope you can reach Canada Post customer support and get the direction.

I got a guarantee that my package will arrive in like 5 business days or so. when the tracker said it took longer to arrive to destination, it was more than their guarantee. i told the guy in the post office where i sent my package and told him that. they gave me a refund for my delivery. do u still have the receipt?

Yes I still have the receipt! Do you mean that I can got o Canada post and ask for a refund because it didn't deliver as I was told?
If yes then when should I go after receiving my actual package or I can go anytime?
Pls suggest n thanks

in ur receipt it says when your package should be delivered by.
i suggest after ur package was delivered to cic go to ur post office and ask for refund, with proof that it took longer for ur package to be delivered (like print off of the delivery status u can check online) and ur receipt

Do they refund? As far as I know, the delivery date is their Estimated Date of Delivery.
So it is not always the date that it'll be delivered.
You have to check the fine prints on your receipt though.

Hi Tarun, Whats you concern? Is it the package or refund?
I used Canada Express post for sending and receiving my passports to CPP Ottawa. The only problem is they did not update the status on when it was delivered in Ottawa. It is still showing as "In Transit" on the tracking page.
But I got my passports back today. The return tracking was activated and closed properly.
So I wont say Canadapost is bad.
I sent it to Courier address(Laurier ave), I saw some other member sent it to POBox and they got proper tracking updates.

My concern is that canada post made processing error twice in my case and when I called then they said they don't have any time guarantee on it anymore!!

May be because of holiday season. I had similar issue with Canada Post two years back during this time of the year. In the end I got my passport back. Just make sure you tell Call Center that package contains Passport and treat this as high priority.
