I worked for an IT company in India and trying to obtain my work experience certificate from them and looks like I might not get it at all. Is there any other document that I can provide CIC to prove that I worked there, like my job offer letter, performance review letters, salary slips etc?

Pay slips and tax documents might work. Maybe write a letter explain why you can't get it. There is no certain answer, it's up to the CIC officer

The reason that I cannot get the letter is that I was on a bond for two years and I broke the bond in 1.5yrs to come to Canada for education. So as per bond I need pay an hefty sum to get the certificate, which I can't Or I don't want to.

Am not sure how convincing this is? :o

Most of the companies do not provide the Job duties and responsibilities officially.. What you could do instead is -

1. Try to get the Job duties and responsibilities from any of your Supervisors in a plain paper (or notarized paper) and get it signed by him/her. Attach their business card also to that.
2. Write a mail to the company HR asking for your Job duties and reponsibilities. If they reply that they will not be able to provide it attach that mail also with your application.
2. Provide your Offer letter.
3. Provide your Salary certificate.
4. Attach your releiving letter if you have any.
5. Give your last few month's salary slips.
6. If you have provide your tax retunrs documents also..

Also, ask your colleague to take an oath on your job duties in front of rotary public. CIC has been reported to consider this as evidence if you showed you could not ask your boss to write the letter.

Thanks Seby25 and specialmary. Will try your suggestions....

CIC will not consider your description of job duties as evidence. Therefore, a third person (boss or even colleagues under oath) is required. Good luck!
