Hi,

If company selects and sends a job offer to International worker; do the international worker need to pay work permit/visa processing fees of $550 Canadian Dollars with the immigration lawyer and Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC).

No! WP application is CAD150.00, not CAD550. It does not cost anything for the employer to apply with HRSDC. Don't fall victim to a SCAM. Check the legitimacy of the company purportedly hiring you. Be wary if the so called company is asking you to send money via Western Union or something similar.

My friend got an appointment letter of Hydro Quebec.. now the hr person says that the visa application fee of 550$ is to be paid to a third party account. Is it a scam..??
