I believe work experience is what matters, it should match with the NOC you're applying for.

dump your consultant.

my wife's line of work for 6 years now is not related to her degree.

what's important is you need to choose the correct NOC code in relation to your present job when creating your express entry prof.

if you are an oracle database administrator

i believe this is you noc

I have a question.
In getting a job offer with a LMIA ,is it compulsory that the job being offered to the person,be his NOC job code that he listed in the EE profile?

Newark the consultant is right each noc has a prerequisite education requirement. So it should match that. My friend has done her bachelor in arts but is an Hi manager however the education for that noc states she has to be a bachelor in administration or commerce. Hence she got rejected

that applies if you will apply for the same job in canada assuming you get approved for PR. this question was answered somewhere on these threads.

but in applying for PR and creating your EE.
no it does not require your present work to be related to your studies.
as long as you select the correct NOC its good

example: his job is data base administrator
this is his NOC to select when he creates his profile.
2172 - Database analysts and data administrators

below it details the employment requirements:

Employment requirements

A bachelor's degree, usually in computer science or in mathematics
or
Completion of a college program in computer science is usually required.
Computer programming experience is usually required.

employment requirement is different from applying for EE....

@fpnc2983 etc
Please,I need your advise; I am a graduate of Computer Science and my career has been along the line with NOC 0621.
I am seeking an offer of employment with a LMIA,must the job offer be NOC 0621 or other job NOC that are also stated in my EE profile.
