Is WAQF board English marriage certificate acceptable?

Hello All,

Seeking your suggestions here.
I have received AOR. I raised a webform to update my status to married (marriage happened after aor).

My questions:
1. After how many days will CIC ask for additional documentation for spouse? And how much time does it give to upload the documents?

2. The marriage certificate we have is from the WAQF board (Muslim marriage) in English. Is it an acceptable document? If not, what is the way forward? Getting a marriage registered takes 30 days and we will surely be missing the timelines given by CIC in this case.

Marriage certificate is necessary. Nothing else will work.

Also, how long do they take to ask for new documents post webform status change.
And how many days do they give to upload new documents for spouse.

i am in a same situation like you. So what did you finally submit on your application?
I also have certificate from waqf board with spouse name on passport. Can you please respond .

Thanks for your reply , so did you receive your PR yet?
1)Also, did you also add any letter of Explanation along with the certificate .
2)Also do we need to get any another certificate from india or would certificate from waqf board suffice?

No I haven't added any letter of explanation.
My consultant told me it would suffice as it is in English and is authorised by government of India. Thanks.

Are you adding your spouse as well in your file , did it suffice your points?
What are the additional documents required for spouse,

I am in same situation. If we are to get a WAKF marriage certificate. Will they send the marriage notification to the permanent address mentioned in the nikah nama?

Hi, I'm Samad from Hyderabad,India.
I have hyderabad waqf board issued marriage certificate which is in English. Is it admissible?
Or do I have to get any attestation or notary done on that?

Even I had a Telangana state Waqf board certificate in English and it worked.

This Marriage Certificate is approved only if its in English. If not, just get the translation.
