USA and Canada are two different countries so citizenship is not interchangable between them. A US citizen might be eligible for a NAFTA visa depending on their occupation. Otherwise, if they want to live in Canada, they will have to immigrate same as everybody else. Check out immigration Canada website here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.asp

NAFTA visa works both ways, see http://www.canadaworkvisa.ca/info/nafta.php

The link I gave you before is Canada immigration which is what you will need if you don't qualify for NAFTA visa.

This is a listing of different business structures, not immigration classes but you can apply for permanent residency in Canada under investor class or entrepreneur. There are certain requirements, including having a lot of money. Under the federal class you need to have $400,000 but in some provinces it's enough to have 150 or 200,000. NB does not require a specific amount, just that you have a business plan that they approve. You can find the different provinces nominee programs at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/provincial/apply-who.asp You can go to the websites of different provinces and look at their requirements.

NAFTA is a job killer for Americans. Canadians are already dying to travel, live and be part of American identity once TRUMP removes this NAFTA, former residents of USA will be like Diamond in Canada. You don't know how an American University Degree, US residence, US experience can put you at the top in Canada cause this country is full of wannabe..Americans.. and I am talking about local born Canadians let alone new Immigrants.

Currently under NAFTA, any Tom and Harry type Canadian can travel to US on Canadian Passport, once NAFTA is gone, everybody will standing line outside US Consulate applying to US Visa just to see the Buffalo side of Niagara Falls. It will restore the preciousness of American presence and American decorum as it is common thing that when something is difficult too get, it is valuable!!

Even if they abolished NAFTA, why do you assume that Canadians would need a visit visa to visit the US?

Because entry for Canadians without visa is also tied to NAFTA. Now don't send me those outdated links teaching what NAFTA is because many thinks that NAFTA only has to with TN not entry to US without visa but it DOES have to do with entry to US without visa just by showing Canadian Passport.

If NAFTA is repealed, I'll change my name to Rumpelstilskin. Once Shillary is President, she and her new buddy Justin will glad hand one another all the way to the TPP signing ceremony......

You do realize that before NAFTA, Canadians could enter the US on passports alone? If for some reason NAFTA is abolished, I think we all know it's guaranteed this rule would be retained both ways (i.e. Canadians traveling to the US and Americans traveling to Canada). Suggesting anything else is silly.

So how about all the other countries that are visa exempt to the US that aren't a party to NAFTA? Do you really believe that Trump (if he becomes president) would require Canadians to apply for visit visas while many other nationalities are visa exempt?

Other countries in the visa waiver program are far more advanced economically than Canada and there are a lot of opportunities in term of employment and social benefits than Canada then why a surprise if Canada need a visa and other countries such as Germany does not need visa?

I'll believe it when I see it.

Keep in mind that visa waiver is generally a two way street. If the US closes the door, US citizens will need a visa too in order to travel. Although I have an idea that most Trump supporters probably do not own a passport so probably do not care about that.

Here is a list of countries whose citizens can visit the US under the visa waiver program:

Andorra
Australia
Austria
Belgium
Brunei
Chile
Czech Republic
Denmark
Estonia
Finland
France
Germany
Greece
Hungary
Iceland
Ireland
Italy
Japan
Latvia
Liechtenstein
Lithuania
Luxembourg
Malta
Monaco
Netherlands
New Zealand
Norway
Portugal
San Marino
Singapore
Slovakia
Slovenia
South Korea
Spain
Sweden
Switzerland
Taiwan
United Kingdom

Do you figure all of these countries are more economically advanced than Canada?
