Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi,
does anyone knows if time spent either on paid vacation or business trips outside of Canada count for 2 years work requirement?
I am in Canada since October 2010, working full time, but spent 110 days outside of Canada during this time. I was warned this might be an issue but could not find any regulations or requirements on this matter...Would much appreciate any idea on this matter.

Thanks

Were you employed / paid for these 110 days by your Canadian employer ?

yes. about 50% were on business trips for the employer. Others paid vacations.

If you can evidence the required number of paid hours in a week and produce pay stubs issued by your Canadian employer (for the period including 110 days) ... you are good to apply.

Thanks a lot for the replies!
I was looking for some rules/regulations on these matters. Do you know if there are any available?

Unfortunately, it is not listed anywhere. All that matters is... Canadian work experience of 24 months acquired in the last 3 years and the best thing you can do is to provide every documentation that you might have, to support your claim and convince the Officer.

All work permits
Petition
Offer letter
Joining letter / Work contracts
Letter of Reference (work experience)
Pay stub
T4 Tax slips
NOA
Bank statement (to show salary credit)

If you can convince the Officer, nothing like it.
