I am still waiting my CAIP notes in order to know why my file has took 6 month to be transfered from buffalo to Damscus office...
since I was spending long time on this forum and other forum , I discovered something, I guess I am right about.
The application for spouse where the canadian wife is sponsering her husband from a arab country are taking long time, due to background check and most of them require interview so the IO determine if there marriage is genuine, but when the canadian husband is sponsering his wife from a arab country it is more easy, but it doesn't make sence to me...
if this true, I have to thank God that my husband is the canadian (originaly Lebanese) sponsering me (Lebanese)..., and I hope I will hear something good soon from damascus. It has been a very frustrating period for me and my husband being seperated.
has anyone has my case, canadian husband and lebanese wife had to go tru an interview in Damscus or in Lebanon?
Praying for us and for everyone being seperated from his beloved one.

NO damascus are NOT sexist,all this youv been hearing is nonsense,stop worrying about forum gossips and focus on finding out who messed up with ur file.

Boujasim, I wasn't saying that Damascus office is dealing with application differently based on the fact that the sponsor is the canadian wife or the husband. In fact I am very happy with Damascus Office, as i know, they got my file in the last week of january, they have started processing the file on Feb 12, like they mention on the e-cas , and they sent me the AOR with my new B number in Feb 26...witch is very fast.
My question was , by curiosity , in general, why the IO in good number of case I have read about, think that when a canadian women sposering an arabic husband, that husband is marrying her to get his PR, that doesn't make any sence.
And what I need to know as well, if any lebanese wife on this forum being sponcered by her canadian husband thru Damscus Office had to go thru an interview.

If you are Lebanese shouldn't the application sent to Beirut and not to Damascus.
I'm sponsoring my husband from Lebanon and they are sending his application to the Visa office in the country where he lives which is Lebanon so I don't understand why you are referring to Damascus which I find it takes much longer to process the application.

No, if it is a PR application it is going to Damascus, Beirut doesn't process PR applications.

1. Processing at Damascus 4-7 months for 80% of applications.
2. If an interview is required an officer will come to Lebanon to do interviews in Beirut.
