Is this the right time to start my application processing

Hello people... I am a novice to this forum and also to the complete program of PR visa.

I just wanted to know whether starting my application process right from scratch (mean to say getting credential assessment), so will I stand a chance of getting through the procedure or is it too late to begin this year.

By the way I am a Mechanical engineer with 4 years of experience in the field of power and energy sector.

please do help me on this as have to decide whether to start this year or wait till next year.
