Application for Visitor visa for myself only, for 3 weeks
(CAD 80k) Bank statement 4 months containing Salary credits - Joined the current company in Feb 2016
Employment letter from Big 4 firm on company's letter head and it says that I m its employee, designation, authroised leaves, current salary and NOC
Family information
Purpose of travel: Tourism
Photographs
Airline ticket + Hotel Bookings
Travel History passport visas+ entry exit stamps: Previous employment visas in Qatar and UAE, other than that there is no travel.
No letter of explanation submitted and no itinerary.
No rental contracts and no property owned

Question: This is 3 month 10 days (calendar) waiting (more than the 63 days as per current processing time) , is this normal?
Should I upload more documents to make things faster?

Today, exactly after 4 months, I have received Original Passport Submit request.

4 months....its a very long time., why did they take 4 months to reply? Does UAE usually take that long? My Visa office is Abu Dhabi and im worried sick now. going on apply in few days.

The OP would not know why processing took 4 months in his case unless he orders GCMS notes.

Possible reasons: Background checks.... or maybe the visa office sought some information from his home country (for any reason from employment to bank details to previous travel history). These are only guesses.

Not all TRV applications get delayed like this. So try not to worry before/after you submit your spouse's application. Processing has to run its course
