Is this Misrepresentation?

been refused refugee status, an immigrant or permanent resident visa (including a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ) or application to the Provincial Nominee Program) or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any other country? My answer is NO and now I realized that I have refusal before when I applied visitor visa in untited states.

How can I correct this mistake? My wife is still waiting for the first stage approval in canada.

Yes, it can be considered misrepresentation and punishable by a 5-year ban from Canada.

Send an email to the office handling the file notifying them of the error and that you will be sending a corrected form. Fill the form again, sign and mail it.

Yes, this is misrepresentation. If you applied outland, once your application is sent to the visa office where it will be processed (and you have a file number), send a new form to this office with the correct information and an explanation.

Thank you for the reply. After my application transferred to visa office will I get a file number or will I use my wife filenumber to resend the form with correct information? I hope they consider the explanation and the new Schedule A form.I Do I need to use VFS or ditect mailing will work? Thanks

Once the file transferred to the VO you should contact them by the case specific inquiry form. In AOR2 email you will havethe VO address and you can send the updated form to that address along with any additional documents they might ask. Your file # remains the same as for sponsorship case, but you should use the principal applicant UCI#

It should not be a problem. People on the forum have done it before with no issues. Also include a cover letter explaining the error, and that you have corrected it.
