I’m currently living in Saudi (Riyadh) and I'm here for work for the past one and half year. I am planning to apply for PR here from Saudi Arabia.

I need quick clarification regarding an immigration to Canada. Is it comparatively faster to process my PR application here from Saudi rather than from India (Chennai)? Or is it the same amount of time that takes no matter from where I process the PR?

I have a feeling that if I process from Saudi there are chances that my application will enter the pool quickly as profile will be considered as NRI as I’m living here in Gulf.

Please help get this clarified. Thanks in advance.

Hi
To enter into the pool and get invited, all that matters is your CRS scores. After you submit your PR application, the average time for processing is 6 months. it could be sooner than that too. to a certain extent, Visa office where your application is processed matters. your could either be new delhi or abu dhabi or Ottawa itself. so Good luck.

While true that your application will receive no preference based on where you reside, it may be forwarded to the visa office closest to you for further processing.
I believe some applications from the middle east are processed in London which is a notoriously slow office. Slower than the New Delhi Visa Office. This maybe enough reason to apply from India if possible. Again .. it's not universally applicable and depends on several factors which other people can weigh in on.

Just wondering... How would he apply from India if he currently lives and work in Saudi? He has no choice really .. Unless he actually physically leaves Saudi permanently and initiates his application...
He gets in the EE pool and if recieved an ITA it gets processed at the VO IRCCchoose based on his geographic location most probably

Exactly. Unless he want to move back to India, to make this happen, he doesn't have any option in this.

Most applications gets processed at CPC-Ottawa, which is the fastest office. Should they feel you need to undergo scrutiny, it is sent to the LVO.
