Is there a need to submit T4 Slips or Employment Proof for Citizenship applications?

I dont see anything in instruction guide, where it specifcially asks for T4 slips or employment proof?

Thanks

The old application form required submitting work records but the new application form just requires education records thus no work records are required.

There is no need - as in, it is not one of the mandatory documents. However, T4 slips and NOAs are one of the best proof of your employment (and also proof of residency). In addition to T4s and NOAs - I got an employment letter stating that I have been working at the company since x date and my job profile requires me to work from the company head quarter located in Toronto. Also, that I conducted all my communications efficiently in English.

My two cents.

there is nothing mentioned instruction guide too.

No need to manty. My wife even was a homemaker on her first and a half year as a resident. Just send the docs. asked in the application.

You can submit your T4, NOA and rental agreements, It wont hurt anybody which I did and completed everything in 8 months.

Btw, adding this documents does not mean you can avoid getting RQ. This means you have right to prove whatever you right down the application forms.

If it is not asked in the Checklist or in the guide, you don't need to send it. Of course you are free of sending whatever you think is good, but that is not necessarily correct.

If you have those employment supporting docs then I don't see a reason of not enclosing them in the application submission.

Speaking from my experience, I sent in back-up for school and employment which I declared in the application.

I didn't submit it in my application but I brought it to the interview. It was helpful in the interview.

T4,
NOA
Letter of Employment
Rental agreements / Property ownership documents
