I have created my EE profile(1017 score) and I have a 1 year post graduate certificate in Canada. I have clearly mentioned that I don't have ECA for my Bachelors and as a result of that I have got lesser points than what I should have If I had the ECA. I don't want to do the ECA since I already have 600 due to Arranged Employement and ECA is time consuming.
My Problem is that I am eligible for both FSW and CEC and I don't know in which category they gonna pull me an invitation.

If it is FSW, will I have to do ECA for my bachelors even though I didn't claim the points for it?
Any response is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

If you have Canadian work experience, I would modify the profile so that I get to apply under CEC.

So what should I change?
Are you telling that I should remove my foreign work experience ?
wouldn't that be misrepresentation ?

I have done the same thing. I did not claim points for my foreign work experience since I do not have the supporting docs.

You can't claim points for something you can't prove. For CEC , you only need 1 year of canadian experience, your foreign experience is redundant.

If you do include your foreign work experience, I think you will be considered only for FSW and not for CEC.

That is correct.

You cannot claim points for work experience that you can't prove and thus leave it out of your work history but be sure to include it in your personal history.

By "Personal History", you mean under "Personal activity" section right? where you select "Employment activity" for the "Activity Type" and list out your foreign employment?

Hi Ngelsa,

I do have proof, reference letter and everything from my old work experience, the only thing I don't have is ECA for bachelors

In the site, they do say:

"If you have a Canadian degree, diploma or certificate, you do not need to get an ECA."

Hey dragon17Sky

I have also seen people putting in less than 12K as POF which will make you in-eligible for FSW while keeping you exclusively for CEC.

Thanks stholy,

I just saw this http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp

Education
You must have:
a- a Canadian secondary (high school) or post-secondary certificate, diploma or degree, or
b- an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report from an agency approved by CIC to show your foreign education is equal to Canadian education standards.

However if i still wan't to disqualify for FSW

Can I just remove my 1 year canadian post graduate certificate and no ECA for the rest of the education.
Shouldn't that disqualify me from FSW just like removing foreign work experience?

After reading a lot of posts on FSW ITA when eligible for both FSW/CEC, and to prevent from getting selected in FSW, I have removed my foreign work experience.

Score reduced to 979 but still eligible for FSW as well as CEC.
Anyone knows how to get rid of FSW?

1. Show less than the minimum settlement funds.

Remove your funds required. By doing so, you will only qualify for CEC by doing so. Goodluck
