i want to know if i get schlorship from any canadian university will it affect my process of getting PR after study in any way ??

Hi,

For PR, you need a "Permanent Full Time Job Offer" (the toughest thing!) NOT a scholarship. There is no relation between PR and scholarship.

thanks for ur reply ..nw it is clear that there is no relation between PR and scholarship but i have another question is there any relation between after study work permit and scholarship becoz i have read this on cic website -
You are not eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit Program if you:

1.study in a program that is less than eight months long
2.participate in a Canadian Commonwealth Scholarship Program funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT)
3.participate in a Government of Canada Awards Program funded by DFAIT
4.receive funding from the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA)
5. participate in the Equal Opportunity Scholarship, Canada-Chile
6.participate in the Canada-China Scholars Exchanges Program
7.participate in the Organization of American States Fellowships Program
8. participate in a distance learning program either from abroad or from within Canada or
9.have previously been issued a Post-Graduation Work Permit following any other program of study.

Hi,

Yes you are not eligible to apply for PGWP in case you get official scholarship but no such rules applicable for University Scholarship. For example, Indian students who hold Commonwealth Scholarship MUST return back to India.
