Dear,

I am aware that somebody's online status is updated timely, others are not.

Can you think of any reason for it?

Thanks.

I am waiting for my online status to be updated to "DM" anxiously.

Some processing agents are not so keen to update the e-cas as often as others.
This creates sometimes a lot of problems because if a correspondence have been lost from the Canada post and that correspondence was not updated in the e-cas, the applicant has no idea that there was any correspondence sent in a first place.

Politren,

Thank you for your reply.

I totally agree with you that if our online status can not be updated timely, meantime,
there might be possible that any significant letter be lost on the way, applicants
would have no idea with what is going on with their applications.

Yeah, Politren is right. It totally depends on the case officer. Some are good at updating e-cas, but not so good at replying to e-mails. Others are the reverse (lax on e-cas but fairly responsive replying to e-mails - like my wife's officer was). Then you have the ones that are responsive on both (best case) or bad on both (worst case)

Keesio,

Thank you for your reply.

I don't even know that applicants can communicate with their individual case officer via email.

all you can do is e-mail the visa office that is handling the application. If you include the information they request you to include (applicant name and DOB, file number, UCI, etc), then they will then forward the e-mail to the case officer associated to the file. Sometimes the officer will personally reply (but never from their personal internal e-mail address)

Keesio,

I can not find the email address of my local office, only their fax number.

Where did you get the email address for your local office?

Thanks.

Sorry, I got confused with my wife's sponsorship application for PR. For citizenship, I can't recall if there was any e-mail address for me to send queries to.
