Is there any minimum period to stay in Canada once you landed?

Hi Guys, We are thinking abt heading to Canada but due to some personal commitments (I am enrolled in a Masters program and won't be done till 7/2013 but our landing visa is valid till 5/2013) we plan on coming back after roughly a week. I wanted to ask you if there was a minimum time period we must stay in Canada once we land?

Do you think it would be Okay if we go there for around a week (I am hoping to go once fall semester ends) then inform the officer at port of entry that I am enrolled in a masters program with 3 more classes to go and am expected to graduate in summer 2013 so I will move after that. Will that be advisable? Any tips or suggestions?
