I would like to ask what problem I have if I left the studies for 1 year and a half and I apply for the study permit in a program almost the same as I had abandoned

Yes. You need to show why you dropped out and now need to return to Canada and take a similar program. You need to again show career and education advancement, funds, ties etc.

Just to clarify you dropped out of a program in your home country and now want to apply to study a similar program in Canada? There was some confusion and it appeared that you had already attempted to study in Canada once.

You will have to explain why you want to repeat a similar program and not complete the one you have partially finished. Given the program is available in your home country you will have to explain how studying in Canada and paying a lot of money will benefit you when you return to your home country and that the degree will lead to career advancement. You wil also explain why you couldn’t finish your previous program and why you will finish the program in Canada.

and if the program is not exactly the same. example I started the software engineering program and I would like to start a computer engineering program because of its diversity

They are quite similar and things I mentioned still apply.

the university accepted me into a compensatory course program to continue the training in computer engineering. But I would like to know if I would have any difficulty in applying for a study permit.

It is much harder to get approved for a study permit than getting accepted into a college or university. The universities are more focused on receiving international tuition while the government is more concerned about your reasons for studying in Canada and whether you’ll be successful. Would only attend public schools.
