Is the Secretaria de Seguridad Publica not needed anymore for CEC application

Hi I am currently on the process of gathering all my documents to apply under CEC. I was under the impression that I needed to provide the SSP certificate as well as the PGR but in CIC webpage it doesn't state that I need the SSP.

Can anyone help me with this?!

PS. I would like to know if anyone also has send their fingerprints and pictures to the Canadian embassy in mexico to get the PGR certificate and how did that turn out.

Correct, the requirements were updated on 2013-1-30.
