Is SuperVisa okay if parents wants to stay for 2 months?

Please I need suggestion.My parents are planning to visit Canada for 2 months only. Will they qualify for supervisa? Or if we mention the date in application as 2months will they have any issues. Please help....

Pretty expensive just to come for 2 months, if they only intend to come for 2 months, why not just a regular tourist visa?

thanks for reply, they r both retired and they can come again next year. do you think the dates in forms should be ok

Hi Pari,

I don't think dates should be an issue. There is a maximum restriction of 2 years of stay in a single trip, but there is no minimum restriction. I have seen people coming for just couple of months on Super Visa.

However you would still need to get a full 1 year Super Visa Insurance. There is partial refund available on early departure if there is no claims.

Your welcome, just a question if you can answer it, what kind of proof can my parents show for ties to country coz me and my bro are out of India ,they are retired, so what kind of proof can they show for ties to country??? pls help

This question has no simple answer - See if you can find proof by answering these questions:

- Do you have a house or property in India? Do they need to maintain the property or collect rent?
- Do you have extended family in India - your parents brothers and sisters?
- Is there any kind of work that your parents are involved with - even if its volunteering?
- Is there any kind of regular activity they are involved with or there are associated with any social or religious organisation?

Over all it will depend on how you word the essay and show that they would eventually like to live in India and will be visiting Canada only temporarily.

Well for the writing part you will have to write a strong story yourself but you can try and google for examples of writing scripts or templates if you wish.

Most of my relatives are outside india. And my dad has 10 yrs visitor visa to US , he has visited US 3 yrs ago. But my mom has never been outside India. So I guess only property and letter from Priest (as per Regina) is only option I have.

Just remember that the letter should be in priests native language if does not speak English, with his phone number, and translated into English by certified translator.
