Is spouse ielts mendatory to get ITA ( April, 2017)

A QUestion just pooped up in my mind....

If the main applicant has the minimum express entry number as of now which 8)is 415....then should the spouse take ielts must to obtain the ITA?

no, it is not required that spouse need to take IELTS to get ITA.

I got ITA in April 12th draw without the IELTS marks of my spouse.
