In Saskatwchen PNP (International Skilled Worker Category), I read that cousins are considered as family relative in Canada who can fetch you 20points extra. Is this true?

As per CIC Express Entry , cousins are excluded as Family Members where PNP says cousins can give you points.

Since am the principal applicant I have no relatives in Canada. Whereas my spouse(wife) has her cousin brother as Permanent Residence of Canada. Can I update my EE Profile by including him as Spouse Relative. Will there be any benefit through this?

No you cannot consider that cousin because you are the principal applicant not your spouse so the cousin is not your relative.

Hi,
Not sure which is true because this link publications.gov.sk.ca/documents/310/89684-ISW%20SEE%20Point%20Assessment%20Grid-May10%202016.pdf says spouse cousin can fetch the principal applicant 20points under PNP of Saskatchewan.

"Close relative in Saskatchewan (You or your accompanying spouse has a close relative that is a Canadian citizen or permanent
resident living in Saskatchewan. This includes: parent, sibling, grandparent, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, cousin and step-family members or in-laws of the same relationships. The family members in Saskatchewan must meet the requirements in the Application Process (link to it)) - Fetches 20 points"

Whereas Express Entry data from CIC never includes Cousin as relative for any applicant.

i am not sure about this. meanwhile, in Manitoba province nominee, your spouse first cousin is considered as a close relatives... . It doesn,t matter if u are a principal applicant or not... once u have a first cousin related to u or ur spouse, u get additional 200 points.

Hope this help.

Ok I am corrected ! Seems very generous to include that level of relative.

But for my information what is a 'Spouse cousin brother' ? I understand the cousin of the spouse but what the brother part tagged on ?
