I just want to be in Canada. I applied for the Canada visit visa to attend a conference in 2021 but I didn't get response then I applied to study in the United kingdom and after getting my study visa in June and I got passport request in July. I was totally confused because I have already booked my flight before I got my passport request letter from Canada. And there is nothing I can do about it because I ask for refund from my school. So I am trying to know if I can go to Canada after my one year program in UK. So I am looking for a way to Canada.
Wanting to be in Canada is not a good enough reason to justify why you couldn’t claim asylum in the UK and has to claim asylum in Canada. Claiming asylum, even if approved, has serious consequences. If you get denied asylum and are removed from Canada then you will struggle to visit, work or study in many other countries. If you get approved you will not be able to visit your home country until you get Canadian citizenship. That is typically 5-10+ years for most people and mostly 7+ years. As already indicated you should be looking at economic pathways to come to Canada either to get permanent residency, a work permit, etc. This may take some time but you will have a much better chance of actually being able to stay in Canada. What is your home country? If you were able to get a study permit for 5e UK you are unlikely from the countries where asylum claims are approved in high percentages like Eritrea, Afghanistan, Yemen, etc.
