As part of the proof of re-establishment we want to include correspondence with someone in a hiring role requesting feedback on likely job opportunities. Both the Canadian and partner shared their CV but it was just an enquiry. We won't include it if it could reflect badly on the partner.

I don't think it would be a problem. If anything, it shows that both of you are serious about going to Canada, and you're not too likely to go on welfare because you are serious about working once you have your PR, so I would include it. Just make sure that somewhere you mention ( in the correspondence, or separately) that you won't be able to work until you get the PR ( so CIC knows that you're aware). But going through a recruiter, it's unlikely because they won't offer you a job if you don't have some type of work permit.
So it should be fine.

Thanks. Very good point about the statement about knowing the partner cannot work. We added that in a few days ago ;D It was someone in a hiring role at a company and we laid out the timeline.
