Hi,

Is having fingerprints request makes one's application non routine?
How usually it takes after submission of fingerprints to get citizenship test invitation?

All answers will be greatly appreciated.

Virtually all applicants for citizenship are required to provide fingerprints. IRCC checks them with the RCMP and they get the results in a couple of weeks. It's all part of the regular processing of applications - this is routine

Not everyone gets fingerprint request but if the person does get fingerprint request, the application becomes non-routine.
If the fingerprint records are clear, the result is mailed to cic by the fingerprint agency or if the applicant gets the result, the applicant forwards it to the cic office.
Once cic receives the result, the test can be scheduled within 1-3 months but will depend upon case to case.
