Is Request Passport for VISA?

Greetings Everyone!

Ive been overthinking of my parents tourist visa.
Cic has requested for their passport and we handed it the day after.
Some says when cic ask for passport its for visa, and some says there is no guarantee.
My question is- IS THERE A CASE WHERE CIC ASK FOR PASSPORT AND YET NO VISA GIVEN?
Pls enlighten me.

Several cases, for example when they find that the passport does not comply with requirements.

Hi,

Both situations are possible..... that is a refusal even after a passport request.... in most cases, a passport request means the TRV is granted.

Don't get stressed out about this.... it's just a few more days before you get their passports back.... hopefully with the TRVs

No, it doesn't happen a lot, but it is a possibility.

Do not buy anything until you have the passports with the TRV back.

You should see an application update online if it is approved, on the day the VO stamps the visa and returns the passport to VFS.

Hi Bryanna/ Jelex or Other members,

My mother has applied for her Super VISA on March 20th, App rcvd on Mar 24th. Med rcvd on May 10th. We are still waiting for an result from Singapore VFS. What could be the reason and when we can expect as ans???? It's now more than 2 mtnhs. Any guess guys..... any info wud help.

Thats what ive been doing., i just talked to an agent thru chat in vfs makati office..and i was told that its on process and it will take 2-4days for processing and 24-48 hrs for delivery..im really praying hard for visa to be granted

I just opened my parents tourist visa application online and i saw
That the case is CLOSED already and final decision is made which is APPROVED.
However, they havent got their passport yet.
Does it means their Visa is already on the way?
