Is Police clearance certificate required?

I'm applying for citizenship and was wondering if Police clearance certificate is required in my case. Hope someone in forum share similar scenario

• Applied for PR from USA
• Became PR on Sep 1, 2018: Soft landing done on Sep 1 and returned back to USA
• Moved to Canada on May 25, 2021: Have been living in Canada since this date
• Now eligible to apply for citizenship

Since my country of origin was USA and I went back to USA for more than 183 days, I wonder if Police clearance certificate is required.

Anyone in similar scenario.

Country of origin exemption is before getting PR. After getting PR if you go back you need PCC if you stay more than 183 days.
