I did PhD in Canada. PhD students are considered as "Graduate Research assistants" (GRA) (NOC 4012) . So, if the PhD is fully funded from the Canadian university then it is considered as full time work experience ? is it true?
If the same PhD student (GRA) is mainly funded from an external award and partially from Canadian university then can I still claim points for it as full time experience? However, for this PhD (GRA) I had study permit (that allows part time work as well). But when we put any work experience in Canada, there is a question Which of these categories does Jamil Ahmed's job fall under? and it has 3 options (1) No work permit required (2)A work permit without LMIA (3) Work permit with LMIA.
So, for this GRA experience, what option should I select. Can I select option 2 ?
Because when I select option 1, it gives me no points (CRS score) for this experience
