I got the ECA evaluation report today, as under -

I have done a 3 year MBA and am also aware of the fact that WES recognizes business studies in India as equivalent to master's degree in canada if it is a three (3) year MBA course.

My ECA clearly does not give any cognizance to Post Graduation Degree / Post Graduation Diploma; and treats it as a Bachelors Degree.

I have raised this issue with WES from the "contact-us" section. Hope they understand that I have a valid point.

Thats not true.

I know people from Mumbai University Master of Management Studies (their equivalent of MBA) who got their Canadian equivalency of Master's Degree.

In my case, it is treated as three bachelor's degrees (four years). They have not evaluated it as PG Diploma 1 year.

Thats not true.

I know people from Mumbai University Master of Management Studies (their equivalent of MBA) who got their Canadian equivalency of Master's Degree.

Did you see their report? When was it evaluated? If it was before JUNE 2017, then yes, WES was doing it at that time period.

In my case, it is treated as three bachelor's degrees (four years). They have not evaluated it as PG Diploma 1 year.

Double bachelors is equivalent to PGD points.

NL Dalmia Mumbai. PGDBM irrespective of which college will be recognised as 2nd Bachelor's. Make sure you add the AICTE/UGC approvals of your college.

What is AICTE approval? How can i get it.. i am also from dalmia..

You can still claim points for 2 or more degrees. WES evaluates MBA's from IIT or IIM as Masters. Other agencies such as IQAS/ICAS/ICES/CES evaluate other MBA's as Masters. You can opt them for evaluation as well.

I would recommend that you open your EE profile and claim points for 2 or more degrees and once you get your evaluation from other agency, update your profile with Masters.

What is AICTE approval? How can i get it.. i am also from dalmia..

AICTE approval is given to colleges who satisfy certain criterias of technical education. Contact your college for AICTE status of your course period.

I verified that SCDL is getting listed within WES as a recognized institution once I create a profile and search for an institution to select. I found in few forums that they had listed that WES is not recognizing PGDBA & PGDSCM degree from SCDL. Have anyone got approval or denial from WES for credential evaluation request submitted for SCDL degree?

Your university should be in the UGC Distance Education Board Approved University List, if it is when your degree was awarded, it will be recognised by WES, if it was not, it won't be recognised by WES.

Thanks .. Will it be considered as Master OR Two or more certificates, Diploma or Degree. One must be for a Program of 3 or more years by WES ?

My PGDM Institute(IMT-Ghaziabad) is AICTE & AIU Recognized. SHould I ask Institute to send the AIU certification directly or should I send them myself?
Also should I apply for ECA from WES or CES, IQAS would also be fine? I heard of a rejection from WES for this institution.

I am thinking to opt for same college for distance learning. Can you please tell me it worked for you or not ?
