Hi,

I am on OWP in Canda.

For PR Application, I got my PCC done for Name after Marriage and have the same name on my passport as well.

My question is, I had a different name before marriage (Maiden) and had an old passport with the same name which was cancelled during the issue of new passport with my name after marriage. So do I need a PCC for the maiden name as well?

If yes, will 2 different PCCs and Letter of explanation be sufficient? Or would I need to have them on one page?

Thanks in advance.

No. But make sure your PCC covers the entire time you lived in India. If you got it from the passport agency, it should be fine.

Thank you so much.

Just making double sure:

Indian PCC does not show a time range. It just says "No adverse information was found for My current name".

Though it has been issued by passport authority it does not mention my maiden name anywhere.

What I want to confirm is that, if CIC requires a PCC for my maiden name, will it ask me to get it or would it reject the application outright stating PCC is missing?

Any insight on this would be much appreciated.

Thanks again

Perfect. That is exactly what you need.

Regardless of the name change, you are the same person. IRCC does not require two PCCs for the same person covering the same time and place. if they wanted that, they would have asked for it.
