I have worked with the UNDP as a volunteer through UNV. We were given a monthly allowance during the period. My question is, if I can include that as my work experience while applying through express entry?

What exactly are the requirements of CIC? I do have a letter which states "work verification letter" in the subject line, states my work tenure but doesnot include how much I was paid? I have separate payslips which we used to receive monthly by mail.

Are you planning on obtaining points against this work experience in your application? Were you able to find valid NOC for your work? If what you paid was an allowance, I don’t think it can qualify as work. Volunteering will not qualify as work. For work, you will need 35hrs/week and salary slips. Allowance is for limited durance and may not qualify as salary.

Were you able to find NOC with work description you performed?
I don’t think volunteering can be qualified. Also payslip you provided specificies as allowances for volunteers. Allowance is not same as salary, as it is meant to be used as durance of your tenure and not a professional payment towards predefined set of services based on your skill sets or offer letter.
