Hi

I am going to activate my IEC Working Holiday work permit. I am already living in Alberta and will stay here.
I am purchasing a private health insurance for IEC.

Would I still be eligible for Alberta Health insurance during my IEC work permit?

Any one with IEC experience in Alberta? Did you also get Alberta Health Care?
This information will be very helpful to me.
Thanks

Pretty sure you can get Alberta Health if you have been in Alberta for 6 months or more. At least I did, and that's what I read at the time.

Doesn't seem like you need to wait 6 months anymore.

Several people I know coming under IEC got AB health.

AB covers you since landing (in AB), to apply you need proof of residency (bank letter, rental contract, employer letter..)

Thanks everyone! I really appreciate this forum.
