Is OCWP and CO-OP work permit same?

OCWP is gained after 6 months of studies right.

so if i already have OCWP, i dont need to get co-op work permit?

Good question! I wanted to ask the same question!
All I know is that you need a letter from the department in your university to apply for co-op work permit.

NO

They are not the same. Even if you have a off campus work permit, you will need to apply for a Co-op work permit (even for a UNPAID coop) since you will be working for more than 20 hours a week. It is ILLEGAL to work for more than 20 hours a week on a OCWP even if you are not getting paid for it
