so he sent the paper to CPC-M Mississauga yes they do accept FedEx as long as you sent it to the courier address not the P.O. Box so find out which address he used

Courier address (no public drop-offs)
2 Robert Speck Parkway,
Suite 1200
Mississauga, ON
L4Z 1H8
Fax: 905-803-7392

and for regular mail

CPC Mississauga
P.O. Box 3000, Station A
Mississauga, ON
L5A 4N6

And I believe that if you gonna send it by canada post, have your letter application at least registered so you can track it online or by phone. And have a peace of mind that CIC office have receive your application.

I sent mine via Canada Post, but it was registered mail (in other words I could track it). I paid extra for signature confirmation, but that was a waste of money since they never provided me with that information.

Canada Post is a perfectly fine way to mail the application, don't worry that he didn't fedex it.

We did as well send our application to Vegreville by Canada post and we paid about $ 12 bucks and i got a tracking number and i was able to see when the package was received and who signed for it. No worries, Canada post is more than enough.

Hello! Hi,

I have a question. Really worried.

I sent a mail to CPC mississauaga via registered mail with signature. When i track my package, it says Item out for delievery but i dont see any other entries after that. Does that mean, they didnt receive it? Or they dont provide signature or acceptance because its a P.O. Box

Will really appreciate any response

Thanks

When did you send your application ? It takes 3- 4 business days (not including weekends) to reach Missasagua..
It should say when it reached its destination and will show the name /signature of the prson who received it..

I sent mine by Canada Post (Xpresspost). They actually sorted it into the wrong pile so it took a few extra days to get there. The tracker was able to tell me that there was a mixup/delay. Sometimes, tracking info isn't updated right away (I've found this happens with Xpresspost and couriers such as UPS) - sometimes it's been received but delivery status isn't updated till later that day or the next day.

te entiendo perfectamente pero animos vamos a salir adelante con este pesadilla de lidiar por tanto tiempo para llegar a canada y formar una familia...
con el favor de dios todo saldra muy bien solo paciencia y amor!!
saludos

Hi there, I have same issue with Xpresspost... says 'item out for delivery' and no updates since past over 9 hours!!

Can you tell me when did they receive your papers at Mississauga.. and if selection of the signature option for a PO Box address was the real 'issue'...

Thanks... I'd really appreciate your help..

Hi there, I have similar issue with Xpresspost as mentioned earlier by 'Freindz'.

...status says 'item out for delivery' and no updates since past over 9 hours!!

Can anyone pls explain this if you've had similar experience.. and if selection of the signature option for a PO Box address is an 'issue'...

Thanks... I'd really appreciate a help..

Expresspost is an excellent, economical choice in Canada. The cost varies by region and delivery expected overnight or usually within 3-4 days from the date you have it a the post office. Bear in mind the time the post office indicates mail departs. It could be 1600 or so from the office where you take it so it may show scanned and then sit until a truck comes to pick it up with that days' mail - could be several hours after you dropped it off. So could not and would not change status online.

Regional mail is usually 1 day; outside region perhaps 3-4 so no sense concerning oneself if sending from eg. Ontario to Alberta and not seeing something the next morning.

It is really of no benefit to actually 'register' mail since no one is going to the post office to pick it up and signing for it there. The delivery made would be signed for in bulk, not each piece of mail so understandably mistakes are bound to happen when dealing with the quantities involved. Just make sure you keep your receipt and probably best to actually see someone from the post office take your package from your hand.

i used xpresspost, it arrived next day...good choice I think.
