Hi Everyone,

I am new to this forum, so I apologize if there is the exact same topic out there.

I am planning on applying under CEC next week. I finally got my employer reference letter signed. Well, two letters actually. The thing is I am officially employed with company 'A', but work for company 'B' as a contractor. Company 'A' is pretty much acting as an HR firm, playing a middle man since I am getting paid through company's A payroll.

I obtained employment letters from both companies. They are almost identical
Here is what the letter from company 'B' (where I actually work) states:

To Whom It May Concern,

Mr.XXXX currently works at 'B' as a contractor, employed by 'A', working 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday). Mr.XXX' hourly rate is X/hour.

Mr.XXXX began his contract position at 'B' effective September 1, 2013 and holds a Product Launch/Technical Coordinator role at 'B'. The responsibilities of this role include (NOC 2282):

• CRM Help Desk Level 1 support-Troubleshoot problems that sales reps encounter when building customer configurations in CRM and provide guidance on next steps.
• Actively participate in the redesign and enhancements of CRM and other applications (ECC, Vendavo, CSM, etc)
• Product launch planning activities and product enablement for North America region
• Drive process efficiency improvements-target is to Enhance product enablement processes and increase output accuracy by eliminating non-value added activities
• Drive system enhancements- target is to drive continuous improvements for sales and non-sales applications
• Manage internal communications, conduct training sessions to Canada sales as required

Sincerely,

ManagerXXXXX
XXXXXXXXXXX

The context of the letter from the company 'A' is pretty much same. The only difference is the first sentence.

Would anyone be able to say if my duties match NOC2282 please?
I was quite sure that my duties do match 2282 code before, but I guess I am getting nervous since time has almost come :)

Thank you in advance.

Be kind to your readers (and Visa Officers) and spell out things like CRM - don't assume we know what that is!

It will also help a lot if your letters have at least 1-2 sentences explaining what it does (products/services, who the customers are...)

Thank you for reply.

I actually asked my supervisor to provide more details by describing these applications (CRM, ECC, Vendavo ect.) but got something like "this is what we use for job letters/job postings and we are not willing to change/modify anything" as an answer.

You think Visa Officers won't be satisfied if I provide this letter?

Well, you stated you have 2 letters, perhaps the other person can be more flexible?

The only problem I see is that to someone like me who is not in your field (like a Visa Officer), it's mumbo-jumbo, hard to assess without a little more plain language, a little more context. One possibility is that you can write a brief explanation yourself, but be careful you don't shoot yourself in the foot.

but I wouldn't worry too much, it's clearly technical, and eligible...
