Is new medical exam needed for work visa, or 2 year old one could pass?

My visiting parent considers to apply for work visa under CUAET program. (Seems like better chance than extened visit as she landed few weeks ago).

Work visa over 6 month from the designated area requires a medical exam. Does my parent need one granted one was conducted less then 2 year ago for her visitor record extension?

Some passage say due to COVID message it is enough to refer to old one, did I get it right?

Yes they will likely need a medical exam. They are only good for 12 months.

due COVID it was extended. Well, worked now, but not sure what is the current status as COVID subsides
