Greetings,
I have been in Canada since 2018; I graduated from university last year and applied for a PGWP in July which was approved in November 2023, it was approved for 3 years. On December 11th 2023, I applied for my TRV to be able to travel and be able to come back which is mandatory after receiving PGWP. My grandpa was sick in December so I added a doctors note to my application stating the situation of my grandpa back home (Jordan) and that if it is possible to process my application quicker. On IRCC, the processing time is 20ish days.
Its May 2nd today, my grandpa passed away before seeing him,and my application is still processing. Its been 140 days since my application has been submitted.
My question is: could the note I added to my application caused my application to get lost or sent to the wrong department? Is the processing time im currently undergoing normal? Should I apply again or give it more time? And is there a maximum processing times for applications?
