As someone pointed out to you in a different thread, outland is fast at the beginning. There are many who applied before you that are still waiting. You need to go through PA eligibility, security and criminality checks first before PPR. No one can tell you how long that will take on your file and just because someone you know was done fast, doesn’t mean yours will. Just be patient and hope for the best.

As someone pointed out to you in a different thread, outland is fast at the beginning. There are many who applied before you that are still waiting. You need to go through PA eligibility, security and criminality checks first before PPR. Yep. My application was received 4 months ago today. I am outland and from USA. Still waiting for biometrics request.

Like others have told you, there's no way of knowing. You could get a decision quickly, but you could also wait months before you hear anything like many other people have experienced. Biometrics and medical request doesn't guarantee anything. Wait and see.

Guys need some input,
I have a outland application at LA, USA
I applied for my wife PR and finally got PPR for my wife and my new born son.

I sent my passports for stamping to LA-USA embassy with pre-paid envelope.
Its been 4 weeks the package has been received by the embassy, I have not received any confirmation.

I have raised a query using online form on CIC and haven't received any response.
Does this take this long?
