We filed for P.R inland since may 2017 and the application has been pending. we subsequently applied to change condition in July 2017 because the 1 sent with the p.r application was returned due to an error. My spouse was not sure she signed the document so we applied for extension of visa so as not be out of status. we received 2 visa extensions with 2 validity dates 6 dec and 12 dec. we have been confused as to what to do since we applied for only one visa and with no response to our mail and phone calls, at the last minute we re-sent our application to change condition again which should arrive at vegreville today instead of yesterday due to a delay of courier company. Does this means my spouse is out of status. The process is simply frustrating. Please assist.

It sounds like your spouse had a visitor status when the PR application was submitted, it would mean your spouse has implied status.

The spouse would only have implied status if an application for an owp was included with the pr app. Applying for pr does NOT give implied status
