Hello Everyone,

I am asking this question again cause I did net get a single answer previously. (Maybe my question was not written clearly)

I am working as an Operations Analyst in a 3PL services company. I have worked there for 1 year and planning to apply in April. The best NOC code I have researched is 1221 - Administrative Officers. The rest of somewhat matching NOC codes seem to be whether over/under qualified or consists only of 25% of my daily duties.

Does this NOC code apply in my case? If not, would it fit a type "B" code?

Here is exact job description of my duties and the job requirements + I am completing some more.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build outbound shipments according to predetermined schedule.
  • Control the flow of work for the distribution centre operations.
  • Monitor and advise on proper shelf life rotation and aging inventories
  • Assist with inventory reconciliation daily, weekly, and monthly.
  • Analyze DC operations, including performance and productivity data. Error rates and their root causes.
  • Work closely with Operation teams to investigate, troubleshoot and resolve operational functionality issues.
  • Generate and maintain a set of key daily, weekly, and monthly business and operational reports customized to the needs of Operations and its clients
  • Identify workflow/system improvements and work with Managers and Operations team to implement changes

your HR would determine which exact NOC code you are working with. you should ask them for the experience letter or discuss with them to determine which one fits best.

also consider the educational requirement for each of the potential NOC's too

i have talked to the Manager I am reporting to (his title is Operations Manager and he actually hired me for this position) and the H&S coordinator (she is the person who is most closely responsible for H&R at our distribution center as we do not have the HR department at our location), and they both confirmed that 1221 is the most suitable for me.

Immigration consultant advised the same code, however, she did not seem to be 100% confident to me.

Do you think I am qualified enough for Express entry in this case?

For express entry (except federal skilled trades) as long as the job experience is in skill level 0,A or B you are fine.

Some of them fall under 1221. I am also using the same NOC code. You have to paraphrase some responsibilities to have the same meaning with what CIC is asking for. When I look at my duties, they mean the same but in different words. And tweak.

Some HR managers don't just copy and paste from NOC when preparing a job offer letter. In my office for instance, we are required to write the letter and do the tweaking and paraphrasing ourselves before submitting to HR for them to sign.

At what extent they should be paraphrased in order to be accurate?

For example, in my job description it says: "Analyze KPI's and DC performance", and I could write it like: "Analyzing the operations and the performance of an establishment" in order to make it look like a better match. Is that correct? Could you provided a clear example to me?
