I sent my application in late January, with this year being a crazy one, I didn't really looked for my application status until now, 8 months after, and it says "we are not able to identify you using the information you provided", I also haven't received any email from CIC. I'm starting to think it is lost because there's no way after all this time they haven't started processing the application. I will call tomorrow to CIC, and I am preparing for the worst. Does this mean that 8 months of waiting have gone to waste!? This application had all my personal information and if it got lost I am also scared of what someone could do with my information. Please help!

You can check online application status only after receiving AOR, and where you getting this message from? "we are not able to identify you using the information you provided"

First you need to check by courier if your application was received 8 months ago, if it was received by CIC and you still didn't got any response it's definitely lost but you have to check with CIC first for double check, The only way you can trace your application with CIC is the online payment you made.

Are you saying all our applications may be lost? There are so many people from January, February, March etc. who have been waiting for 8-7-6 months with no notification.

Thanks for the reply. I read in this forum that some people never receive AOR not sure how true this is though. The message appears in the CIC page, Immigration and Citizenship > My Application > Client Application Status. Also when I try to link my account to the application.

I got the same message when I searched.

So according to the courier it was received 8 months ago, I will definitely call tomorrow to double check if it is lost then. Can you please explain how to track my application with the payment I made. I paid the application fee and I did receive a receipt from CIC but I thought you would need a client number that is sent by the CIC.

Hope they are not lost! Let us know of the outcome. It's so stressful not knowing anything when even May applicants are receiving AORs.

Yeah
I understand that with the COVID-19 the time for them to start processing the applications may be delayed but 8-7-6 months is quite a lot just to confirm they have received it and I just want to know if they have it or should I send another application. I'm really considering just sending another application!

Guys, don't delay any further. If I were you I should have send another application with a detailed explanation.

You won't be able to link you application if you have not received your AOR, that's why your application can not be found.

Just make sure your application was delivered.

Citizenship grant cannot be linked. You only can check the status using ecas web service.
