Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi,

I took my test this morning.

I passed the exam, I just didn't ask what my score was.

And then there this interview, it was a casual conversation with the officer. She requested for original passport, COPR, PR card and then there goes the Health Card and BCID cards (I do not have Health Card, but I have a paper stating, I did apply for replacement), (I never applied for BCID card, I never really felt the need to).

Then she asked me about my current job and previous jobs. I told her about these two jobs, I never really went out of work, except the two weeks period from the date of landing to getting the new job. I gave her employment letters from both the companies. I offered to give copies of the T4 slips, she said not needed.

Then she asked if I am married, have children or any relatives here. Answer is No for all those questions, and she started to raise eye brows. She took my passport, I offered a copy of my CBSA report, she said Oh that's good to have in file, verified the exit/entry stamps I declared on my application.

Then that she said. Ok, that all, and I will have a Citizenship Judge review your file and if everything is ok, we will notify you for oath taking in the next 2-3months.

Does the last statement made my case a Non-Routine one? I am scared..

I double checked with my friend who attended test in Vancouver. She said the officer generally say this and similar thing wa told to her. She got the oath in 1.5 months.
Generally all files are signed by judge ( this is symbolic). I can understand why you may fret.

All the best! You should have oath by August or so!

I agree with canucksrig. It sounds like it went well. Sounds like she asked you all the standard questions and gave the standard comment of "the judge will review your file and if he/she approves it, you will get your oath letter".

You can call CIC in 1 to 2 weeks and they will let you know if your file has been approved by the citizenship judge. After the test, if the CIC officer recommends to the judge to approve your application, it usually gets approved in a week or two and then you just wait to schedule the oath, but CIC will tell you if the application is approved.

They tell the same effing story to everybody, I aced the test, had the interview on March 18, requested an ATIP in May got in June and my file is still waiting for the judge´s approval, the agent said it would take between 4 and 6 months
