Is minimum balance in bank account required for people working in canada

Hi All.

I am hoping to apply for a PR around end of September when my ECA is available. I am currently working in Canada for the past 4 years and have a job offer till Feb 2020 at the least. I will be applying as a CEC. I wanted to know if I will still be asked for a Minimum balance in my account in order for my PR to progress. Please advise if there a a fixed rule for it

you are not required to show funds when applying under CEC

Thanks a lot all. Final question. Won't I need to show it even when I apply in October 2019 and my current WP expires in Feb 2020. I will continue to work in the same organization until then .
