Do you have an approved LMIA?My job comes under NOC-A- 2131-Civil Engineer and what if I get a job offer in NOC-B-2234 construction estimator or NOC-B-2231 Civil engineering technologists?
Does this job offer valid under arranged employment and will the CRS points get added?
You can certainly apply for the NOC B roles and try to secure a job offer with an approved LMIA. However it is next to impossible to find employers willing to go through the LMIA process. No, I haven't applied for those jobs yet.......most of the NOC-A-2131 jobs posted in job bank are mostly for 5yrs+ exp people. So, as I have 3yrs+ exp I was thinking if we can apply for NOC-B-2234 or 2231 ( as there are related to civil or construction field), will the job offer comes under arranged employment?
Also, Please let me know does employers provide LMIA for NOC-B jobs?
Thank you.
I'm not sure I understand your question.okay thank you scylla for your valuable information.
Is the approval of LMIA from employer is hard for skilled immigrants even when we are in Canada?
Or it is only tough as we do not have PR?
I think additional certifications (apart from Engg. degree) are not required for entry level civil engg. /estimator jobs unless specified or asked. But if it is high level or management level jobs you may need to prove now or in future.Hi Everyone.
My Canadian Equivalency is Bachelor's in Engineering (CIVIL)- CANADA Noc code 2131.
Since 8 years I am working as an Estimation Engineer- CANADA Noc code 2234.
I want to apply under 2234 NOC code, do I need any mandatory certification?
(or)
If I find a job that states no certification required and whatever qualification (CIVIL Engineering in my case) I have is enough? Will, I still need to provide any certification?
