Is it worth re-doing my IELTS exam?

Hi Everyone,

So I got my results from my IELTS exam and I got the following score

Listening 9.0 Reading 8.0 Writing 7.0 Speaking 9.0

Overall 8.5

So the main issue is the writing score, missing out on the high band 7.5 score. But according to the CRS calculator, it just gives an extra 3 points from 446 to 449. What are people's thoughts? Thanks.

Every few points is worth it. Tons of people have missed draws by just a point or two.

You can try asking for reconsideration on that one score rather than rewriting. That might get you up to 7.5.

Think of it this way: What would you feel if later the CRS score went down to 448 and you missed it just because you didn't maximize your score?

So I submitted my score and turns out it boosted my CRS score to 471 which was unexpected.
